The world seemed to stand still for a moment  at the PGA Demo Day 2016. My dad and I saw all that there was to see at Demo Day. We left beautiful Valdosta at 4:30 am Tuesday morning and drove our way to Orlando and Orange County National (the host site of the PGA's annual Demo Day). I was a little reluctant to leave so early but after only an hour on the road it would have been time for me to wake up and get ready to open the golf shop at 7! We arrived at the show early and found a parking spot. They parked us in the Palmer lot which sounds nice, but it was in the middle  of a dusty old field. This wouldn't have been all that bad a week or so ago, but it was a nightmare in the new Maxima. We made our way to the gates and into Demo day in time to see the opening ceremonies and the opening to the PGA's Centennial celebration. Bubba Watson was there to kick off the festivities along with golf channel's Charlie Rymer. They showcased all 41 PGA sections with representatives for each section. After the opening ceremonies my dad and I got our full fix of all things golf. We hit every club that you could imagine. We saw several big names in the world of golf. We saw Bubba, Lexi Thompson, the golf channel crew, Michael Breed, Martin Hall, Jesper Parnivick, and Greg Norman. I would have to say that the best club I hit all day was the Callaway XR Driver, wow that thing was hot! The best set of irons I hit was surprisingly the Wilson Staff blade iron. The Wilson irons were money but that was about it for them. We tried a lot of different putters and I was really impressed with the Pure Putters and the BioMech Putters. The BioMech is the putter that Tim Clark switched to this year. I was on fire with it! All in all it was a good day made even better by the free beer from Srixon/Cleveland, Wilson Staff, and TaylorMade. Thank You! We had a blast and we are looking forward to a full day at the PGA merchandise show at Orange County Convention Center tomorrow. More to come, so stay tuned!
